Maven Dynamics can handle all of your septic design and install needs. We take the stress out of the process by managing the project start to finish, including Site & Soil Analysis, System Installation, and Maintenance.

Site & Soils Analysis

it is a requirement of the Sewerage System Regulation (SSR) of BC to conduct proper soil analysis through test pits dug in the direct vicinity of the proposed septic field, as well as permeameter or percolation test to determine the flowrate of liquid through the soil.

It is a common misconception that the liquid (effluent) from a septic tank just needs to disappear into the ground and not back up. It has been found that if not properly treated then pollutants from a septic system can make their way into ground water.

Proper treatment is achieved by doing these tests and following the SSR to be sure that the soil has enough retention time to treat the effluent before it reaches any type of water course. Every site is SO different, two test pits dug 50 feet apart can have different soil properties. This is why it is important to do proper site and soil analysis for each system prior to designing it. The old ways of “my neighbor put this system in down the road so that’s what I want” or “I put this in at my last house and we never had any issues” or worse yet the contractor who “knows the area” so he will quote your system without ever seeing the soils on your property is antiquated. In fact many systems have already failed (a failure in which you cannot see an issue above ground) if they were to be properly inspected because the effluent is not being treated properly. This can even happen on a new system if it is not designed specifically for the site and soil conditions.

Be aware of quotes from contractors who haven’t done a proper site assessment or undercutters who don’t understand the science behind it. Here at Maven Dynamics we are certified and follow all the proper regulations and work with Interior Health to make sure that you have a trouble free system for years to come.

System Installation

System installation – We are fully insured and properly licensed for the install of your septic system. We can install gravity and pressure systems, type 1, 2 and 3 depending on what your specific site requires. As each site is so unique the equipment required to install your septic system will vary significantly but rest assured that we are up for the task. If we don’t have the best equipment for the job we will work with our industry partners to make sure the job is completed both cost and time effectively.

Maintenance

once the system is commissioned a letter of certification is filed with Interior Health along with a maintenance plan created by our team to help you get the best life span out of your new system. This will close out the install and design portion of the project. At this point the maintenance intervals will be discussed and we will schedule to be back at the first maintenance interval to make sure that everything is operating properly.
